Why We Started This
Most homeowners have the same story about small jobs.
The good contractors don’t return the call, because the job’s too small to be worth the trip. The ones who do show up are hard to reach, vague about price, and gone before you notice the thing they didn’t finish. So the list sits there — the door that sticks, the fan still in its box, the trim that never got put back after the floors went in.
Bucktooth exists because that’s a fixable problem. Not by working faster or charging less, but by running small jobs with the same care that goes into large ones: look before you price, put it in writing, show up when you said, clean up after yourself.
None of that is complicated. It’s just not common, and it’s most of what people are actually buying when they hire someone.
Why a Beaver
Fair question.
Beavers are the only animal besides us that meaningfully rebuilds its surroundings. They work with wood, they build things that hold, and they’re famously hard to discourage. It’s not a bad standard for a handyman company.
They also chew through things — which is where the name comes from, and the tagline:

That’s the whole idea in one line. The list is the problem. We’re here to get through it.
What We Commit To
Not adjectives. Things you can check.
We look before we price. A craftsman walks the project with you before any number gets mentioned. A price quoted over the phone is a guess, and guesses become change orders.
The price you approve is the price you pay. Down to the penny, with one exception — a genuinely concealed condition nobody could have seen. If we hit one, we stop and show you before anything else happens.
Every craftsman is background-checked. Before they set foot on a job site. That’s a hiring requirement, not a marketing line.
Two-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did it, we come back and make it right.
We work clean. Drop cloths, dust containment, tools where they belong, and the site swept at the end of every day rather than just at the end of the project.
What It’s Like

You book, we come out and walk it with you, we build the estimate on site and go through it at your kitchen table, you decide, and then we do the work. No wondering where anybody is, no price that moves, no surprise on the last day.

Bucktooth serves a focused area on purpose — Cleveland, Ooltewah, Chattanooga, and the communities around them. Not because we couldn’t drive farther, but because being close is how you actually show up when you said you would.
That’s also the accountability. We’re not a franchise with a call center in another state. If something goes wrong, the person you talk to is the person who can fix it, and we live where you live.
