What to Expect
Hiring a craftsman should be simple, transparent, and stress free. Here’s exactly what happens next — start to finish, no surprises in the middle.

Why the Process Is the Same Every Time
Some people know exactly what they need. Some just know something isn’t right. Some have one repair and some have a list that’s been growing since spring.
The project changes. The process doesn’t.
That’s deliberate. A predictable experience is most of what separates a company you’d call again from one you tolerated once — and it’s the thing you can’t tell from a website unless somebody writes it down.
So here it is.
1. Schedule Your Estimate
Choose a time online or give us a call.
Book online and pick the slot that works. Or call and talk to a person — some projects are easier to describe out loud than to type.
Tell us what you’re dealing with in your own words. You don’t need the right terminology, and you don’t need to know which trade it is. One repair or an entire list, both are fine — and a list is usually more efficient than calling four separate times.
Photos help if you have them. Not required.
2. We Visit Your Home
We listen first, answer questions, make recommendations, and define the project with you.
A craftsman comes out at the scheduled time. The first thing that happens is a conversation, not a measurement.
We walk the project with you, ask questions, and look at what’s actually going on — which sometimes turns out to be different from what it looked like. If there’s something you’re worried about, this is when to say it.
Then we define the scope together, so you know exactly what’s being priced and what isn’t.
No price gets discussed until we understand what we’re pricing. That order matters.
3. We Build Your Options
Most estimates are prepared onsite while we’re still there, then reviewed together at your kitchen table.
After the walkthrough, the craftsman heads back to the truck and builds the estimate. Not a range, not a ballpark — an actual number, built from what he just saw.
Then he comes back in and goes through it with you. Usually at the kitchen table, because that’s where these conversations happen.
You’ll get the scope in writing, whatever options make sense, an explanation of the warranty, and a straight answer to anything you ask.
Most estimates happen this way, in one visit. Larger or more complicated projects occasionally need more time — if that’s the case, we’ll tell you before we leave rather than letting you wonder.
4. You’re In Control
Choose the option that’s right for you. No pressure. No surprises.
Nothing happens until you say so.
Take the estimate and think about it. Talk to your spouse. Get another quote — we’d rather you feel good about the decision than feel rushed into it.
If you want to move forward, we can often get you on the schedule right then. If you’d rather sit with it, that’s fine and we won’t chase you about it.
And the price you approve is the price you pay. That’s not a slogan — it’s in the estimate you sign.
5. We Get To Work
We’ll schedule your project and deliver the Bucktooth Standard from the first knock until cleanup.
You’ll know who’s coming and when. If anything changes on our end, you hear it from us rather than noticing a truck that didn’t show up.
While we’re there: drop cloths, dust containment where it’s needed, tools that stay where they belong, and work areas cleaned at the end of every day rather than just at the end of the project.
When we finish, we walk the work with you before we load up. If something isn’t right, we’d rather hear it standing in your hallway than read it in a review.
Then we follow up. Finishing the project is the start of the relationship, not the end of it.
