Professional Installation & Replacement Services

Installed Thoughtfully. Finished Properly.

You’ve already decided. Maybe it’s sitting in a box in the hall, maybe you haven’t bought it yet, maybe the old one finally quit. However you got here, the part that matters is what it looks like when we’re done — and that’s the part we’re careful about.

The Product Is Only Part of the Project.

Anybody can attach a thing to a wall.

What separates an installation you notice from one you don’t is everything around the fastener — whether it’s level to the room instead of level to the crooked ceiling, whether the trim closes cleanly, whether the switch is where your hand expects it, whether the cable is hidden or hanging.

The product came from a store. The result comes from how it was put in.

Wherever You’re Starting From

Installation calls come in about five flavors. Find yours.

“It’s still in the box.”

You bought it, you’ve looked at the instructions, and the box has been in the hallway for three weeks. Bring us the box. We’ll check that it fits the space and the existing conditions before we open it, then put it in properly.

“The old one still works. I just don’t like it.”

The builder-grade light over the dining table. The faucet that’s fine but dated. The doors that were beige in 2004 and are still beige. Nothing’s broken — you’re just done looking at it. That’s a completely legitimate reason to call somebody.

“It quit and I need it replaced.”

A dead ceiling fan, a leaking faucet, a garbage disposal that’s finished. You want the same thing back, working, without a project attached to it. That’s a straightforward swap and we treat it like one.

“I want it somewhere it isn’t.”

A TV on a wall that has no outlet behind it. A light where there’s currently no box. Shelving on a wall that may or may not have studs where you want them. These take a little more thought, and it’s worth knowing before you buy the mount.

“I don’t know what to buy yet.”

That’s fine, and it’s often the better place to start. Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish and we’ll tell you what actually works in that spot — what size, what mounting, what will and won’t fit the existing wiring or plumbing. Then you buy it, or we do.

What We Install

Grouped for scanning, not as an exhaustive list. If it’s not here, ask.

Lighting and fans — ceiling fans, light fixtures, bathroom and vanity lighting, exterior and security lighting, smart switches and dimmers.

Plumbing fixtures — kitchen and bathroom faucets, toilets, vanities, shower fixtures, garbage disposals.

Doors and hardware — interior doors, exterior doors, locksets and handles, hinges, weatherstripping, thresholds.

Wall-mounted — TVs and mounts, floating shelves, cabinets, mirrors, artwork, grab bars, storage systems.

Trim and finish — baseboards, crown moulding, casing, decorative trim.

Around the house — cabinet hardware, closet organization, window coverings, mailboxes, address numbers, doorbells and cameras.

Bringing Your Own

Yes, we’ll install what you bought. It’s a common way to do this and there’s nothing wrong with it.

Two things worth knowing.

We check it before we start. Compatibility with existing wiring, plumbing, framing, and finishes; whether the mounting hardware included is actually adequate; whether the dimensions work in that spot. Better to find out at the estimate than with the old one already off the wall.

Warranty splits. Our two-year workmanship warranty covers our installation. The product itself carries whatever warranty the manufacturer gave it. If a fixture you bought fails in eight months, that’s between you and the manufacturer — though we’ll help you sort out which it is.

If you’d rather we source it, we can do that too, and then it’s all one conversation.

When the House Doesn’t Cooperate

Older homes especially, things aren’t always where they should be.

The new vanity is two inches wider than the old one. The ceiling box won’t hold a fan. There’s no blocking behind the drywall where the TV needs to go. The shutoff valve under the sink hasn’t been turned in fifteen years and doesn’t want to start now.

None of that is unusual, and none of it is a crisis. What matters is that you hear about it from us, with options and a price, before anything else happens.

The Bucktooth Standard

Doing Several at Once

Most installation calls aren’t one item.

If there are four fixtures, two faucets, and a TV that’s been leaning against the wall since Christmas, that’s one visit, not five. Setup and travel get shared across the whole list instead of repeated, which usually costs you less than doing them one at a time.

It’s also the difference between a house that got updated and a house where one light is new.

Why Homeowners Call Us Back

We check the fit before we open the box. We put things where your hand expects them. We clean up, take the packaging with us, and walk the finished work with you before we leave.

Every craftsman is background-checked, and every installation is backed by our two-year workmanship warranty.

More about Bucktooth

Fixtures Have Their Own Pages

Two kinds of fixture work come up often enough to deserve more room than this page gives them.

Plumbing fixture repair and replacement — toilets, faucets, disposals, drains, and the shutoff valves that seize up right when you need them.

Ceiling fan and light fixture installation — fans, lighting, dimmers, adding a remote to a fan you already have, and why every fan needs balancing.
